Vintage Grace and her Matilda Jane outfit- isn't it cute? Of course, she wanted to take it off and put on all her other pretty dresses they brought just for our session in Powell. This one is my favorite though- love the layers and colors. I nicknamed this toddler 'Vintage Grace', she just has that vintage vibe to me- it is the big, beautiful eyes and her trendy haircut, I think. We had so much fun walking all around. She especially LOVED this door. We would say 'Holy Moley' and she would laugh and giggle and dance. I captured so many fun images from this little one who was full of personality. Stay tuned for tons more, but for now here is your sneak peak....
Wanted to go super vintage here- while shooting (change settings to adjust) and post processing...
I hope they don't kill me for posting this picture...It is one of my favs (them kissing)! This family was so very sweet to work with. They found me (or I like to say I found them) in The Village Voice, so they are also a semi-neighbor of mine in Powell. Their boys, Jamie and Matthew were ALL BOYS. We had fun exploring and sneaking up on grasshoppers, looking at the 'turtles' in the River and running though Scioto Park. We first got some shots by the River since they love the water and boating- Mom thought it would be fitting and I so agree. I have many more images to go through, but I wanted to post some of my favorite ones thus far. Stay tuned for more..... I have this image in my vintage technique for you too.... Have this w/o the frame too- just thought I would try it w/ one of my 'frames'...
Love this one and the look of the mat- an idea for you
Going vintage by the River....
Stay tuned for more of these cutie patooties......
We were so happy the weather decided to be pretty for our hour session. If it had decided to rain again, it would have been the 2nd time we would of had to reschedule.
Since the ground was still a bit wet, I suggested we take a walk through historic, downtown Powell. Miss Natalie, 2.5, LOVED it. She loved playing with all the antiques, the shells in the baskets and the little wagon we found. I think her favorite was Mrs. Jenn 'rollin'. When I would get on the ground, she would giggle and say..."Why are you rollin Mrs Jen?".....So cute and such a vocabulary! It was so nice to meet the two of you and I look forward to working with you again soon. Enjoy! Will add some more later this week too...
Stay tuned for more......wanted to at least give you a sneak peak before I finish my prior sessions.....Will post more of this stunning blue eyed senior later this week. Thanks so much!
Ok- is it just me, or does she resemble Jennifer Aniston here?
I also have the above image in my vintage b/w too
...scratch 'pretty'.....more like STUNNING! Working on mainly the head shots (now) for this beautiful senior...adding over the week- all kinds of fun pics! Also have some family shots to include- the whole FAM is gorgeous! I told Miss Addie and her Momma, she will have the BEST yearbook pic!!! :-)
Ummm...Miss Addie, when you get married I hope to capture your engagement and wedding pics!!!! I think the hardest decision for this senior is...which pic to put in the yearbook!?@?!#?#@!
Hi and thank you for stopping by! :-) I am Jennifer- a children's lifestyle and commercial fashion photographer based in Powell, Ohio. My focus is photographing children- ages 3 months and up to the "children" heading to college. I believe in capturing your child's picture in a natural, relaxed environment and not in a studio with fake backdrops, bright lights and a non-inviting environment. I want your kids to be themselves doing what they do best- being a kid- and not "posing" for pictures. My blog is like a journal where I share my latest work and a bit about my life, family and photography business. My husband and our son are my inspiration in this endeavor of mine and I will mention them throughout my blog. Starting in Fall of 2009, I will be available for weddings :-) Looking forward to this new endeavor!
