Family Garden of Love

I was so excited to shoot this family for the second time. Also, let me say that these pictures are from THEIR backyard! When I walked through the garden today for the first time, it literally took my breath away. I felt like I had left Ohio and was in a dream! I learned that Marcel did this all himself (with help from Janna)- from the planning stage to the actual planting . What an artist and genius! These pictures are some of my favorites and she looks absolutely beautiful.

Sitting somewhere in old-time Scotland....wink, wink!

I almost hated messing with the colors, but I wanted to do a couple like this.....I thought it looked so magical and Alice In Wonderland-like........
What a pretty smile, Danielle!
Reminds me of a scene from Braveheart.......I LOVE this picture and how it makes you wonder if that is snow or water or sky in the background.....I will never tell ;-)

Not to mention we were dealing with high winds and storm clouds....... but we made it by 20 minutes! :-)

Mommy-to-Be

So, my good friend- Jeni, is expecting her daughter- Olivia in less than 3 weeks and she asked me to take a couple of "belly" shots for her. I have never done a maternity shoot before and if someone requests this I will certainly do a shoot for you. My main focus will be children- walking age and up. I know we are all anxious to meet Miss Olivia and congratulate the new parents to be. Jeni and Mark are going to be great parents and for me, I cannot wait to see Mark change a diaper ;-) I am so happy they now live less than 5 miles away- I foresee lots of playdates. Jeni- you look beautiful and we love you!

Mark vs. The Sprinkler

Oh my- this was hilarious! It all started when the sprinklers came on when we were in our backyard. Mark went right up to them- not knowing that they were about to spray him! When they did- he went running away, but then went right back for more. He couldn't figure them out. So then we took him to the Powell Park where they have these awesome water effects that kids can play in. He went nuts! So I captured some fun shots before we had to pack up because a thunderstorm came.

Walking in the Park......
Fields of Gold, A Game of Chess,

and pretty Danielle...
I LOVE monkey! He sure is popular!
This weekend, I did a shoot with 8 year old Danielle. She was such a sweet girl and did I mention, a ranked chess player!!!! Wow!!!! I had such a blast and I hope I captured "her look" while playing chess.....There are so many great pictures from this day and I hope Mom and Dad can pick their favorites from them all once they are in the gallery on my website, July 1st! I have posted a couple from the shoot to help with the long wait- enjoy! Thanks for a fun shoot! It was so nice to meet the two of you!

Thanks so much......and Eyelash Envy

I just wanted to say thank you for the support and compliments I have received since beginning this new endeavor of mine! The response has been awesome, and I have several creative sessions lined up through August. Thanks so much for your kind words and business. I look forward to working with you all. Here is a picture of Mark I took today- Could his eyelashes be ANY longer??!?! Beware, ladies, you may turn green with envy... Have a great week and enjoy this beautiful weather. Jenn.

A Walk in the Park.....

After a big drink from the water fountain...
Mark, of course, found mud in the park- ALL BOY!!!!!

One of the sweetest boys, Ian with "Baby Mark"

I am such a rule breaker with photography.....I love the dramatic shadows and the sun on them! To me, it makes it more appealing and artistic...... It is fun to break it up and add some drama to your photo collection. Photos taken at Liberty Park.

"Tee" Time

With a mocha feel to the picture.......not sepia
Mark's first hole in one.......

This picture looks like he is on the beach- with sand and shells around him...but we are still on the green.....

Mark sure loved riding in the golf cart and pushing the golf balls on the tee. Hopefully, he will learn to hit the ball and not the grass like Mommy.

"Baby" Mark in the Park...

I picked up this old high chair today too. I love it! I do not know yet if I will paint it. I will have to do some more pictures to decide.

Well, for me, it is hard to not take a picture and today was no different than any other day. On a whim, the family and I pulled over to a nearby park when we were out and about today and I got this adorable picture of Mark....hint why he is wearing an outfit that doesn't match and snot in his nose :-) I would of shot more, but diaper duty called for me (smelled more like it) and I forgot the diapers.....so we had to go home. Photo taken at Scioto Park.
